Clean your MAC manually

One of the biggest problems you will encounter with your PC, especially if it is a laptop, is the lack of space. No matter how much hard drive you have... it's always not enough. Especially, if you've had the fabulous idea of using SSD hard disks (if not, try to change, at least the disk that takes care of the operating system... because you will be amazed with the change in speed).

And if we're talking about a MAC, you're going to find that magical drop in space and you may not be very clear about where that drop comes from.

For this, there are applications, both free and paid, that will help you in the process, but if you do not want to complicate your life with more applications, I am going to talk about 3 folders in particular that you can monitor, and I recommend that you make a folder on your desktop and include access (aliases) to these folders.
The first one, you are going to have it for sure. It is the Caché folder. You will find it in:

/Users/(your user)/Library/Caches
This folder... sometimes... cleans itself when you restart your MAC. Oh, right. It's just that you usually leave it idle... and you rarely restart it. No problem. Go into this folder and delete its contents (not the folder, but the contents). To make sure that you do not load any ongoing process, exit all applications, go to this path and delete... not the folder, but its contents. You empty the recycle bin and a good amount of space recovered. If you also do some design work, and you happen to use Adobe software, you may be interested to know that there are two folders used by this range of applications for their own caches. These folders can be found in:
/Users/(your_user)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache Files /Users/(your_user)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache
From both folders, following the above process, and for security, by exiting before the branded applications, you can delete the contents (not the folders). Empty the trash again and there you have it. New disk space gained.
