If you use an Android TV (or similar: Android TV Box, Fire TV/Fire Stick by Amazon, Xiaomi TV, etc.) it is very likely that you have the Youtube app installed. Pero, y aunque a veces resulte incomprensible, no es una buena app. For example, the native app does not allow you to see the "details" of the video you are watching, let alone access any of the links the creator has put in the description. So if you want to use your youtube account (or accounts), but want an app that works better (it is designed only for television and is not suitable for mobile, as it is designed for remote control), don't hesitate to try the open source and totally free app, SmartTube.
Apart from the fact that the application works MUCH better than the one developed by Google, you also have a lot of configuration options, you can add channels to the sidebar, you can navigate through them much easier, and so on:
- You can see the description and access the links.
- You have a subscriptions section (like the official app) and a channels section to visit your subscribed channels much easier).
- It has Ad-Block (to forget about advertising).
A similar application (which also has Ad-Block) but designed for mobiles or tablets is New Pipe. The bad thing about this app is that it doesn't allow you to log in to Youtube, so you lose synchronisation. Although if you don't want to use a Google account, it can be a good option for you. And the only thing I miss in SmartTube is "Searches in a channel", "Searches sorted by upload date" and the ability to create "folders" in your subscriptions. Otherwise... it's honey. :)
